KuKirin G4 Electric Scooter Review: A True Moto-Style Ride Worth Buying

Today we’re testing out the brand-new KuKirin G4 electric scooter — let’s jump straight into the unboxing and see what it’s all about.

Right away, I could tell this model has a completely different design compared to other scooters I’ve tested before. I started unpacking everything, and inside the nice storage bag, we’ve got keys and all the accessories. I pulled everything out of the box to show you how it looks.

The handlebar comes pre-assembled, I just had to adjust it a little. It’s noticeably wide, and you can already tell this is serious, high-quality equipment. One feature I really liked that I haven’t seen on previous models is the actual ignition key switch, just like on a motorcycle. It’s such a nice touch.

Starting it up works just like a normal bike: you get the battery level display, different riding modes, and lights. I still need to figure out all the functions, but so far it feels great. The package also includes all the parts needed to tighten and adjust the steering, so setup is straightforward.

Overall, the scooter looks awesome. The design is modern and aggressive. I especially like that motorcycle-style ignition. The throttle feels natural, just like on a real motorbike. It even has a touchscreen display — I was still looking for all the buttons, but it’s simple enough to use. The headlight turns on easily, and you can switch between Eco, Sport, and Race modes.

I charged the battery to full before taking it out for a proper test ride. The scooter came with a rear fender, but I plan on removing it — I think the scooter looks much cleaner and more racing-style without it. The rear light is really nice: it has turn signals, a brake light that flashes when you slow down, and a constant running light when you turn on the main headlight.

It comes with large 11-inch road tires, wide and stable. The orange brake caliper looks amazing and stands out; it seems bigger than the ones on other scooters. There’s spring suspension, carbon-style accents everywhere, and the whole look is sporty and premium.

Once I hit the road, we did the first real tests. The battery was fully charged, showing 0 km. Let’s see how it performs.

Acceleration: I’ll be honest — it doesn’t jolt you off the seat, but for a single 2000W motor, it’s really smooth and satisfying. I previously rode the KuKirin G2 Master with two 1000W motors, but this G4 uses one large 2000W rear motor, and it delivers power really nicely.

It cruises comfortably at 25 km/h, with a slight, controllable push when you give it throttle. The weight balance feels good, and the rear-driven setup works really well. The 11-inch wheels are huge, wide, and perfect for road riding.

The design is different from other standard scooters, but in a good way. It feels solid — I’d say it weighs around 42 kg. The battery is 20Ah, about 60V, and the voltage feels slightly higher than the G2 Master.

The front light is bright and shines forward rather than downward, which should work well at night. The suspension is soft and comfortable, and the brakes work smoothly with just one finger. The touchscreen display is easy to use, and you can also switch modes with a double-click on the handlebar.

  • Eco mode: limited to around 15 km/h
  • Sport mode: balanced performance
  • Race mode: fully unlocked for top speed

Now for the real speed test. On flat ground, it easily hits 60 km/h and keeps going. I saw 68, then 70 km/h — and even 71 km/h going slightly downhill. For comparison, my G2 Master only reached about 65 km/h max. The acceleration is consistent and steady, not violent but very satisfying.

The deck is wide enough to stand with both feet side by side, so riding position is really comfortable. After riding about 13 km at speeds between 30–50+ km/h, I only lost a few battery bars. At this rate, you can expect around 40 km of real-world range when riding aggressively, and even more if you take it easier. The manufacturer claims up to 70 km, which is realistic in Eco mode.

The motor is quiet too — no annoying buzzing or loud noise, even at high speed. The lights, signals, and brakes all work reliably, making it safe for city riding.
